Introducing the Speakers of Croydon’s newly elected Treasurer Anne Muthee!!
Anne is another relatively new member to the club, having joined after attending the club’s speech contests in January this year as a guest.
Being a chartered accountant Anne will be utilising her key skills and experience to effectively manage the club’s financial health and take responsibility for the club’s finances.
Anne has described below her reasons for joining the club and taking on a role in the committee:
“I’ve been honoured to be a part of the senior leadership team at my organisation, and I understand how effective communication is important in getting others to align with your goals and objectives. My aim in joining Speakers of Croydon is to learn how to be a confident and effective communicator. So, on a cold winter’s night in January 2023 I attended my first Speakers of Croydon Meeting and by the end of the evening I knew I wanted to be a part of this dynamic group! The energy was great, and the speakers of the evening received such warm encouragement. I knew I would be fine in this group. When the opportunity came up for the role of Treasurer, it was a no-brainer for me. What a wonderful way to give back to the club even as I learn from it. I look forward to working alongside my fellow committee members.”
We have no doubt that the club’s finances are in great hands with our new treasurer! Welcome Anne!!
